The South Jakarta Community Choir is a non-auditioned, international, secular community choir. We sing a variety of songs, classical, pop, jazz, show tunes, world music, folk songs and golden oldies.

Membership is very mixed and is open to all ages and nationalities. It is a community choir and we like the cosmopolitan feel of a truly mixed group of singers. The choir is secular; we are not ‘religious’ in any way or form. The key thing is to have fun and enjoy singing as a group.

We are not professional singers, but singing professionals.  There are school teachers, university lecturers and students, CEOs and managers, dentists, psychologists, chefs, language teachers and translators, diplomatic service officers, international organizations and NGO workers, and people of various professions. Our members also come from different age groups, ranging from those in their teenage years to those in their sixties.The common thing we have is: we all love singing.
